Long before there was Krystalyn Shelties,
there was just Felicity, my favorite pet sheltie, and I. We enjoyed competing
in obedience trials where we frequently scored within the top three.
I could see that Felicity differed from those in the confirmation ring.
I was smitten by their beauty and I was hooked. In my travels I had the
opportunity to see many of the greats of the breed, "Peter", "High Born",
"Dillon" and "TJ", to mention a few. I became intrigued with the idea
of developing my own sheltie lineage.
Purchasing a Jon Christopher daughter from Susan Bentley (Benayr) and
a Wayanet’s Magic Sandman daughter from Ron Lackey (Cahaba) Krystalyn
Shelties was born. Many of the dogs I have bred have been foundations
or stepping points for other breeders and I am very proud of this achievement.
My greatest thrill is to produce dogs pleasing to the eye so that spectators
continue to marvel at the breed’s beauty and may find themselves smitten,
too.
